Commissioner Sam Ings Finds His Way Home

SamIngs2by Lawrence A. Robinson
After all these many years in the city chambers, Commissioner Sam Ings finally came home. He found his voice and actually said something.

For all those years sitting in Commissioner Daisy Lynum's shadow, Ings never had a voice, except to agree with Buddy Dyer or to support Daisy in whatever scheme she had going on at the time.

Now, with Daisy gone and Dyer hemorrhaging public support from all openings, Ings decided to take a

stance on his own.

Buddy Dyer lost some coat tail influence when neither Daisy or Juan Lynum was able to pull a win for the City Commissions District 5 seat, losing to new comer Regina Hill.

Buddy has been under fire from all sides. Buddy lost again when a little church decided they would fight city hall, forcing his rich back room friends to move the goliath soccer stadium a block over.

And now this fighting from within his own chambers. Buddy's former allies smell blood and there may be a mutiny in the making.

Sam Ings spoke about wanting to save Tinker Field from the beginning. With this Tinker Field debate, he found his spine and his voice. He is now speaking up for the community, finally.

Thanks Commissioner Sam Ings. Hope to see more of this behavior from you.

Bill Sublette, Joie Cadle, Kat Gordon, Dr. Barbara Jenkins and The Orange County School Board has approved 'one way' busing. Our kids and their funding gets bused out of our neighborhoods and into theirs. Half of Dr Phillips students are bused into that school from other communities. That's millions of dollars extra for Dr. Phillips High School and that community. The school board doesn't bus children to Jones High. So Jones High and this community gets nothing.
Vote NO on the tax extension and let's fix this problem.
