United Fellowship Of Community Churches, International Makes Its Mark

HoltPattenThe United Fellowship of Community Churches International, held it’s First Holy Convocation on Friday, December 7, 2012, at the Christ Open Door Community Church located on Parramore Avenue in Orlando, Fl. The UFCCI was formed about a year ago when the Inception Service was held January 20, 2012. Attendees of The Inception Service witnessed the Consecration Ceremony of the Chief Overseer, Dr. Leonard O. Holt.

 

This Fellowship is formed for the purpose of organizing community Churches into a network of Christian Individuals and Churches who desire fellowship in the effort of bringing people

into the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

 

 

It will also train Ministers and assist ministries, it will license and ordain Ministers. It help establish Ministries when applicable and provide support for the enhancement of the Christian witness in the community.

 

 

 Last the year, Dr. Holt was elevated to Bishop and Chief Overseer. In that capacity Bishop Holt will preside over the assemblies of the United Fellowship Community Churches International. He will lead, guide, council and keep the group organized and effective. Also Bishop Holt is charged to help further the cause of education and training of Pastors, Ministers and Christian Workers. He will appoint leadership as needed and will observe the overall ministry of the organization and make recommendations for the enhancement of the work in the community.

The first year of the new organization has seen the planing of projects and some growth and expansion. There are over fifteen member churches throughout Orange County and beyond, and that number is growing as the word of their existence spreads. The development of community programs and support of ministry projects is in full force. The community at large will soon see the effective presence of this group. The next twelve months promise to be and exciting year for the group.

 Friday evening’s service, ‘The First Holy Convocation,’ was very exciting and very well attended. We witnessed the elevation of several pastors to officers and some existing officers promoted as well. Pastor Minnie Braggs, Pastor Kelvin Burke, Pastor Charles Graham and Pastor Robert Watts were elevated to Overseer. The Word was given by Rev. Kelvin Burke. Rev Burke gave an exciting and spiritually uplifting sermon. The cadence of his presentation makes you move and the attendees were shouting right along from their chairs.

Another highlight of the ceremony was the double ring ceremony. Bishop F.L.Patton presented a beautiful ring to Bishop L.O. Holt and a few minutes later Bishop L.O. Holt presented a beautiful ring to Bishop F.L. Patton.

The evening was well spent with shouts of glory and praise. There is a promise of things to come and support for the community. Central Florida, here comes The United Fellowship of Community Churches, Int. Get ready, great things are happening.
