Usually when candidates are running for political office, they shout from their stump about transparency, accountability, accessibility and availability. They all talk about how if elected, they will walk the streets and talk to the people of their district to find the out their needs and their concerns.

You see them stumping in the local churches every Sunday. They talk about making heaven appear on earth and how there will be 'PIE in the SKY" for everyone. They talk about giving back and helping the needy, the poor, the sick, the shut in and the homeless. They talk about supporting the veterans. They talk about being fair in their financial dealing and honest in their personal and professional considerations.

They say that they will support our community and speak out for our concerns. That is what they say.  What they do is something totally different.  Neither Daisy Lynum nor Sam Ings said anything when a private company worked a deal with Orlando's Mayor Buddy Dyer, to snatch one of our community churches. Both Lynum and Ings, stood on the sidelines and made themselves invisible as they have done in too many other community critical matters.

So the question is, 'Where is Daisy?  And, ' Where is Sam?'  They can't be found when needed.  Both have been in office long enough to have a track record of accomplishments. Neither can point to anything that they have done to support the community.  Both Daisy and Sam have become the invisible twins of Orlando City Council.

Daisy Lynum has sat on the city council for 16 long years, yet, she has done NOTHING for her constituents. Sam Ings hasn't been on the council that long, but he has done LESS. Neither Daisy Lynum nor Sam Ings have been transparent, accountable, accessible or available.

Sam Ings and Daisy Lynum are the shame of the community. They need to go. A recent news report, shows how the two of them have taken and taken and taken from the community and given nothing back.

That church in Parramore and the citizens of Orlando shouldn't have to pay their salaries and pay for their fun and frolicking as well.

Regina Hill, candidate for City Commissioner District 5, commented on the special report that shows City Commissioners Daisy Lynum and Sam Ings spending taxpayers money in questionable fashion.  It is time for an evaluation of Daisy Lynum and Sam Ings.
