The Bottom Line with Temia Brinson - Analyzed

Temia Brinson face pictureThe Bottom Line with Temia Brinson debuted on Saturday morning at 8:am. Ms. Brinson's first guess was Geraldine Thompson. Senator Thompson talked about the Medicaid funding issues with Gov. Scott and the Republicans and then she talked about the stand your ground law. Both are very important issues when the Black population is concerned.

At the end of the conversation with State Senator Thompson, Temia was joined by three political analysts, Jasmine Burney, Jason Henry and Coyuca Jones.

Overall, I think this was a great effort. There was a glitch withBottomLine the sound but surely that observation will be remedied next week.

The challenge here is to present relevant political information obtained from politically knowledgeable people, in a way that the general public, specifically local Blacks can understand and possibly participate.

Knowing that the main local media ignores Black issues, or just mentions them in passing, except, of course when that issue is to big to ignore or, Blacks make noise about the issue, I welcome Ms. Brinson's courage.

'The Bottom Line with Temia Brinson' gives us a means to continually make noise. To constantly keep some focus on our issues. To hold elected officials accountable. This also means that this platform should hold black leaders accountable as well.

To this end, we must support The Bottom Line with Temia Brinson. We must challenge her to bring us real stories, real issues, real truth because now she has stepped up the game. We must now step up our game and support this effort. We must support the people who supports her. We must support the people, who supports us.

Again, I think this was a great effort and I am looking forward to next weeks program.
