SUGGESTED SCRIPT (feel free to add or delete as you feel is appropriate):

My name is ________________ (if you are a registered voter and live in the District say that). I want to express my outrage at the actions of Officer David Cruz and Officer Charles Mays on June 4th when they brutally beat, kicked, pepper sprayed, tasered, and falsely arrested NOEL CARTER. All of this was caught on camera.

I am further outraged at the appalling lack of leadership of Police Chief Mina who has chosen to defend the actions of these officers in the media and slander Noel Carter's reputation in the process.

I am also disappointed at the silence of our local and state leadership when it came to denouncing the brutal actions of these officers when they beat and kicked a sitting, passive, and submissive man.

I believe that leadership, order, and discipline starts from the top. Therefore, I am requesting the sanctioning of Police Chief Mina and the removal of Officer David Cruz, and Officer Charles Mays. I am also requesting the false charges against Noel Carter be dropped and his arrest record be expunged, Lastly, I am requesting a PUBLIC denouncement of the violence that Officer Cruz and Officer Mays displayed and an announcement of a ZERO tolerance policy in the use of excessive force by police officers against the public.

I am following this case very closely and will not be pacified by another task force or more lip service. I am in contact with organizers from various groups who are prepared to stand together in solidarity for the Constitutional Rights of Noel Carter and all of those unjustly abused by government entities and agents. I will not be deterred until justice is done and SUSTAINABLE police reform occurs.

Thank you for your time and I will be watching to see what you do.
