WHAT IS "THE POWERS THAT (WANNA) BE?"

Vby Pastor Bridget Norvell
Martin Luther King says: Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.

Have you ever heard the term "The Powers That Be?" Living in the Central Florida area this term was used loosely. The terminology is one that describes people who try to control people and situations. It is a group who sit in many different seats from political offices to many more. This is their alter ego.

These individuals can be your local reverends, politicians, lawyers, and many others. Their prestigious name and titles affords them the capability of pushing their weight around. Looking in depth comparative powers in similar categories such as cults, gangs, or bullying are identified. An example of how devious these types of people are was displayed by veiled threats stating if "I wrote this article and named them, I should watch my back.' Those type of threats does not intimidate me. As a God fearing woman as well as one who fear no man, the threat only catapulted me writing this article.

NAMING NAMES
Conversations that are not factual information would be considered heresy. For the record, through my own personal encounters and observations some truths were witnessed. My integrity and character would not allow me to discredit anyone's name until I had the opportunity to personally address the false doctrines utilized by them. Not retaliating to overt attempts to besmirch my name emphasizes my belief of what ever is in the dark will come to light.

How does one spot "The Powers That Wants To Be?" You must be on watch and listen very carefully. They are the same cliques that flock together in the city. Many of them are the ones that run for office year after year. Billboards are erected all over the inner city. These 'Powers' might be the very ones who always want to be in the spot light or have the popular name. Take an inventory of locations that certain people try to dominate.

Keep up with the political races; watch what kind of dirty tactics are being used to win. That just might be one of them. Are they cut throat? Are they the people that fit the professions mentioned above? They are so close they could be right under your nose.

WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO RECOGNIZE "THE POWER THAT WANTS TO BE?
It is important to recognize these individuals. The reason for this is illustrated by certain areas suddenly become desolated as the year progresses. This would enable a realization of a great plan for these areas and who maybe behind it. We have new people coming in to make a change, but these 'wanna bees' are so busy holding on to what they call their territory, that the ones that truly might want to make a change can't. The 'wanna bees' still want to be on the payroll.

If you live an area that needs upgrading and you see crazy laws being passed that are unconstitutional, it might just be those 'wanna bees' behind the scenes. Ask yourself if it is time to take a stand for righteous or sit back and allow corruption to keep destroying our destiny?

I leave you with this quote: Where justice is denied, where poverty is enforced, where ignorance prevails, and where any one class is made to feel that society is an organized conspiracy to oppress, rob and degrade them, neither persons nor property will be safe.
