Is The Orange County NAACP Ignoring Blacks?

NAACPIn an article dated June 27, 2013, Jonathan S. Blount posted scathing comments about the internal workings of the local Orange County Chapter of the NAACP. It appeared that the President of the National NAACP, Ben Jealous, sent an e-mail to Mr. Blount. Mr. Blount then responded to the e-mail by return e-mail.

Yesterday as many of you know, I was extremely aggravated about some of the negative comments being said about Rachel Jeantel. Honestly, I was more angry that it was my own black family that chose to be racist against someone of our OWN RACE.

Many people are missing the BIG PICTURE. We are quick to criticize yet we won't open our eyes to realize our image and race are being soured like milk in the hot summer sun. The sad thing is that we are numb to the perversions that are leading to the DESTRUCTION of "US".

Is Immigration Reform Important To The Black Community?

It is now 2013 and President Obama has made Immigration Reform one of the top priorities in his administration. Many Republican lawmakers in the House and the Senate don’t have large Hispanic populations in their districts so they are against immigration reform. Many believe that immigration reform will die in 2013 because it’s such a complicated issue.African Americans and Immigration _ Huffington Post

There is a bipartisan group called the “Gang of Eight” who has been working to draft legislation that would help clear the pathway for citizenship for 11 million illegal immigrants. President Obama has always been a supporter of comprehensive immigration reform but his hands are tied because, frankly, there are too many options available to fix this problem.

NAACP Acting Like "COLORED" For Certain People Organization

At least there is some form of movement at this branch. Unfortunately, there appears to be no movement in the interest of the Civil Rights of the community we are mandated to serve. What have we done for "colored " people here in Orlando except beg them to buy tickets so that some can go lavish it up at another convention that accomplished measurably NOTHING. It Passes resolutions that resolve nothing.

Many of the poor, the minorities, people with disabilities, and workers with limited English proficiency do not own or understand how to operate a computer. Yet in 2011, Governor Scott reformed Florida’s unemployment insurance system by signing a bill, mandating Floridians to apply for unemployment benefits on a computer.
